So in fear of thinking too much I have spent the day drawing.
Pre prepared sketch book pages mean I do not have white page fear.Drawing with white acrylic then washing ink on top leads to happy accidents.
Gold and pewter ink adds twinkle and iridescence.
Ideas are beginning to bubble through with the act of drawing, if I sit and think anxiety is my reward, sit and draw and all is right with the world.
How does drawing make you feel?
Thank you for reminding me about drawing Sue - I have been doing more lately and also remembering the techniques from your lovely workshop :-)

You know how drawing makes me feel.... anxious and very self critical.Stops me in my tracks every time. Love these pages, particularly the birds.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree with you more about drawing versus sitting and staring. (So why do I sit and stare?) I love what you've done with the white acrylic; can see why ideas would bubble up from lovely drawings...
ReplyDeleteI sometimes think I could live a solitary life as long as I had paper and something to draw with. I love your birds and their architectural backgrounds.
ReplyDeleteYes a form of meditation. To concentrate and become absorbed is great therapy. Lovely pages too.
ReplyDeleteSimply - Drawing makes me complete.
