ENAMEL EXPERIMENTS

Digital and screen printed transfers together with raku fired enamel.
We all have photograph albums that contain relatives with long lost identities, I am fascinated by these people who had lives and personalities but we will never know who they are.

I love the combination of imagery and technique, past histoies and identities suggested through details. A subtle, promising new direction? Wx

I think old photographs of people who are unknown would be a great theme for a group show or project - image if people from all over contributed art work using these photos. Imagine if when they were displayed some were recognised by other contributors, or indeed (romantic thinking here)if our 'photographic people' recognised someone else hanging up in the exhibition.

I completely agree with you. It saddens me that we won't know our ancestors personally. But only through their pictures and stories. The enamel design does make the photo pop out.
