I have challenged my printmaking groups to combine collagraph prints with gum arabic transfers.
They have made a set of small plates, these are 3in x 3in,
using tile cement, carborundum and wood glue,
then simply intaglio printed using one or two colours, I have also used dress pattern tissue as chine collee.
When the prints are dry I have added some gum arabic transfer elements in
gold and silver ink.
Really sparking off some ideas for me.

Wonderful - very inspirational!
I thought you were my friend? Isn't it enough for you that I'm doing a four part gum arabic transfer and wrestling with ideas for where to stick that fish slice!!!!! Now you get me all excited about collagraph textures and I want to rush off and do some plates BUT I'm going on some monoprinting course on Saturday with a hard task master so how on earth can I fit it all in!!!!! I know, what a drama queen. See you Saturday chum x

Wish I could have been in this workshop! Love what you're doing and what great inspiration for a series. Oh my....want to learn more, but alas, reside in NC, USA. So I shall continue to admire and support your work via the blogosphere. Seriously, thanks for sharing it.
These are great little collagraphs, lovely textures.
I first discovered collograpohs thorugh Deborah Putnoi, and seeing these refreshed why I love them - the spontaneous nature and the seemingly haphazard way they are made..
Beautiful prints! I've tried the gum arabic tranfer and it is very cool, You have some really great ideas incorporate it with other printmaking techniques.
